Safeguarding Statement, Calm Chameleons and Studio Solent

Purpose
Calm Chameleons Wellbeing Support is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of
every child and young person. Their wellbeing is always the priority.
Scope
This policy applies to all wellbeing sessions delivered in schools, at Studio Solent and during agreed home visits.
Confidentiality
Sessions are confidential unless a child discloses information suggesting they or another person is at risk of significant harm. In these circumstances information will be shared with the appropriate
safeguarding professionals.
Responding to Concerns
Concerns are listened to calmly, recorded factually, and reported promptly. In schools, concerns are shared with the Designated Safeguarding Lead. Independent concerns are referred to Children's Services or emergency services where required.
Safer Practice
Enhanced DBS maintained, professional insurance held, safeguarding training updated, professional supervision undertaken, and appropriate professional boundaries maintained.
Record Keeping
Records are factual, secure, password protected where digital, and retained in line with data protection requirements.
